What a huge week for the Cubs! Without Soriano, the Cubs will take on the Giants for four this week in San Fransisco, before heading to St. Louis, to try keeping first place, as the Cardinals are currently only 2.5 games behind the Cubs in the NL Central.

Chicago Cubs ace Carlos Zambrano declared himself ready to return to the rotation after throwing a pain-free session in the bullpen Sunday.
Zambrano, 8-3 with a 3.13 ERA, went on the 15-day disabled list earlier this month with a right shoulder strain and likely will be activated to start July 4 in St. Louis.

Think the Cubs missed Alfonso Soriano this week. It was a rough week on the road for the Cubs, as they got swept three straight from the Tampa Bay Rays. Good news for the Cubs was the Cardinals lost all three this week, as well, and stayed just 3.5 back of the Cubs.
